How it all started

Updated: Dec 5, 2021

A seed for this business was planted in my brain in October 2017, when my partner passed away and I had to organise all the paperwork and arrangements following that traumatic event.

“I know what to do and where everything is, but what about people who lose their loved-one and the paperwork is all one big chaos and through the tears one is too overwhelmed to arrange all this?”

The seed took its time to germinate and in the two years after this turbulent experience a proper seedling of a plan took shape. I worked in a shop in Henfield and through speaking with a lot of people and listening to their, or their neighbour’s and family’s’ stories a tree started growing its first leaves.

I asked for help from a few very kind locals: their thoughts on the intent of my business, the wording of my flyer, and the contents of my service agreement. It seemed there WAS a niche in the service industry to help people who get overwhelmed with the increase of technology, hecticness of life, or the experiences that life throws at us. Armed with flyers, business cards and a simple website I kicked off the start of Frankie sorts it!

And I got my first clients, this seedling was growing!!

Then an unexpected long ‘winter’, called Covid-19’, froze the seedling and my tree could not come to fruition. I survived by working for a local business who needed work done as and when. I also have to thank my new-found family who helped me through this time.

I visited and helped my individual clients between the various ‘lock-downs’. We now seem to get out at the other side of the tunnel and the sun has been shining again, so my tree has now almost taken its full shape.

The time is here, I am ready to give it my biggest shot. I invite you to follow my adventures and tips and most likely also some silly talk on this blog. I hope your tree looks as amazing as mine. My warmest wishes, Frankie
